JAMMU, July 7: An impressive Trishul-Jyot Yatra of Chitto Mata was taken out this morning from Rani Talab (Digiana, Jammu) to Chitto Mata Temple, Paddar (Gulab Garh, Kishtwar).
Chairman of Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, flagged off the Yatra amidst chanting of hymns and bhajans in praise of Maa Chitto.
Speaking on the occasion, Zorawar Singh Jamwal said Jammu is the land of Saint and Sufis, where a number of religious yatras are organized. He said these religious yatras further help to make strong bonding among the people irrespective of any caste, colour or creed. While praying for peace and harmony in trouble torn Jammu and Kashmir state, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, also appealed youth to shun drugs and join hands in nation building.
The Trishul-Jyot Yatra started in the form of procession led by Chitto Mata Sewak Nitish Gupta. The Yatra will halt for night stay at Gauri Shanker Mandir, Kishtwar and then move onward to its journey on Saturday. After reaching Paddar, Trishul-Jyot will merge with Pious Chari Mubarak that will head Yatra towards Chitto Mata Temple.
The holy shrine of Chitto Mata, popularly known as Singhasan Mata, is situated about 310 km from Jammu city.
