Impressive events held across J&K as PM launches ‘SEHAT’ scheme

JAMMU, Dec 26: Impressive events were organized today across Jammu and Kashmir for the telecast of virtual launch of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) ‘SEHAT’ scheme for the UT by the Prime Minister.
The scheme will provide Rs 5 lakh universal health coverage to J&K households for treatment at the Government and private empanelled hospitals for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.
In Samba, the main programme was held in District Administrative Complex under the chairmanship of Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma who distributed Ayushman Golden Cards to the beneficiaries in presence of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba Rohit Khajuria and Chief Medical Officer Samba Dr Rajinder Samyal.
At Udhampur, a mega function was organized which was graced by DDC Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla as chief guest. Chief Medical Officer Dr K C Dogra gave a detailed power point presentation about the “SEHAT” scheme. Similar events were organized at all Medical Blocks of the District Udhampur.
District Administration Rajouri organized a grand program at PWD Dak Bunglow where live streaming of PM’s address was witnessed by a large number of people in the presence of MP Sham Sher Singh Manhas, who along with DDC Rajouri Mohammad Nazir Sheikh distributed 193 Golden Cards among the beneficiaries. Similar programs were organized in other subdivisions of the district.
At Kishtwar, a mega function was organized under the supervision of DDC Kishtwar Ashok Sharma at DC office Complex. Similar programmes were also held at the medical block headquarters of Paddar, Dachhan and Chatroo.
District Administration Doda hosted the telecast of the grand launch ceremony under the overall supervision of DDC Dr Sagar D Doifode at Town Hall. On the occasion, the DDC distributed golden cards among the newly enrolled beneficiaries under the scheme.
At Kathua, the live streaming of inaugural ceremony of PMJAY-SEHAT was held under the supervision of DC Kathua Om Prakash, who distributed Golden Health Cards among newly registered beneficiaries in the presence of PRI and ULB members, besides Government functionaries. Similar programmes were also held at Nagri, Hiranagar, Basohli, Billawar and Bani medical blocks.
A function was organized in Reasi by the District Health department under the chairmanship of DDC Reasi Indu Kanwal Chib who gave a detailed orientation about the programme. Similar programmes were organized in all the medical blocks in which more than 150 Golden Cards were distributed among the beneficiaries.
In Ramban district, the main programme was held at district headquarter and was chaired by DC Ramban Nazim Zai Khan. The DC along with SSP Haseeb ur Rahman distributed health card among beneficiaries from different blocks.
The scheme was also launched at Sub-District Hospital Kot Bhalwal in the presence of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Pawan Kotwal, Block Medical Officer Bhalwal Dr Sushma Mattoo and others. BMO Bhalwal gave detailed overview of ‘SEHAT’ scheme while SDM Pawan Kotwal distributed 100 Ayushman Golden Cards to the beneficiaries.
At Ganderbal, the District Administration facilitated live telecast of the launch of AB-PMJAY SEHAT scheme at Conference Hall Mini Secretariat, here. The function was chaired by DDC Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal who highlighted the significance of this Health Insurance Policy. Later, Sehat Cards were distributed among the beneficiaries.
An impressive function was organized at Budgam to facilitate the live streaming of the launch of PM-JAY Sehat scheme. DC Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza chaired the function and distributed Golden Cards to 50 beneficiaries.
At Pulwama, the function was presided over by DDC Pulwama at DC Office complex. He informed the participants about the benefits of the scheme and distributed Golden Cards among a number of beneficiaries.
A mega event was organized in this connection at Anantnag under the chairmanship of DDC Anantnag K K Sidha who issued PM-JAY Golden Health Cards among various beneficiaries of the district.
At Baramulla, a grand function was organized to witness the launch of the health scheme under the chairmanship of DDC Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo at Dak Bungalow. The DDC distributed Golden Cards among the beneficiaries of the district in the presence of senior officers of civil and police administration.
A momentous function was organized at Bandipora under the chairmanship of DC Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad at district headquarters to facilitate live launch of SEHAT scheme. The DC distributed around 2000 Golden Cards among poor beneficiaries out of total 18000 registered beneficiaries on the portal.
At Kupwara, the main function was held at Conference Hall of DC Office which was presided over by Member Parliament Fayaz Ahmad Mir, who along with DC Kupwara Anshul Garg distributed Health Cards among the 100 beneficiaries.
A function was organized under the chairmanship of DDC Shopian Choudhary Mohammad Yasin to facilitate streaming of the launch of SEHAT scheme at the district headquarter. On the occasion, the DDC distributed as many as 300 Golden Cards among the beneficiaries of the district.
At Kulgam, a grand function was presided over by Member Parliament Nazair Ahmad Laway at DIET complex, Kulgam. On the occasion, the MP along with DC Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat distributed Golden Cards among beneficiaries.
