KATHUA, Jan 3: Impressive Nagar Kirtan was taken out here today to commemorate the birthday of Guru Gobind Singh.
The Nagar Kirtan was taken out by Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Kathua under the chairmanship of its President Charanjit Singh.
The Nagar Kirtan started from Gurdwara Singh Sabha Kathua and passed through various parts of the Kathua town.
The ‘Guru Ki Palki’ was beautifully decorated with flower. The Palki was followed by a large number of devotees chanting the Bhajan Kirtan.
The Gatka party displayed the war tactics and mesmerized the people.
On the occasion, various stalls of fruits, tea and sweets were arranged for the devotees.
A langer was also arranged at Gurdwara Kalghidhar Sawan Chack Kathua.
Despite the rainfall, the enthusiasm of devotees was so high to join the Nagar Kirtan to seek blessings of Guru Gobind Singh.
Apart from Sikh community, people drawn from different walks of society joined the Nagar Kirtan.
