JAMMU, Jan 25: An impressive Shoba Yatra was taken out from Satsang Bhawan Skinderpur Kothey under the aegis of Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj in connection with celebration of Prakash Divas of Guru Ravi Dass falling on February 3.
The devotees from all walks of life participated in the Shoba Yatra. Swami Ji delivered the spiritual sermons and threw light on the life and the Mission of Guru Ravi Dass Ji.
The Shoba Yatra was jointly flagged off by Swami Ji and B R Kundal MLC. A large number of devotees participated in it. Vijay Lochan president, Guru Ravi Dass Sabha also participated with Jhankis of the Sabha in the Shoba Yatra. Police band followed by bands from various schools were the part of Shoba Yatra.
The Shoba Yatra passed through Marlia, Nai Basti, Miran Sahib, Simbal Camp, Kotli Shah Doula to Shri Guru Ravi Dass Bhawan R S Pura.
Various organizations welcomed the yatra enroute and distributed eatables among the Sangat. At R S Pura Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, the yatra was received by Dr Gagan Bhagat, MLA, R S Pura, Shyam Choudhary MLA Suchetgarh and Vijay Lochan, president Guru Ravi Dass Sabha.
Later meritorious students were also honoured in the function.
