Improper working of admn led to rise in COVID patients, deaths: BJYM

JAMMU, Sept 18: BJYM State Spokesperson, Chetan Wanchoo expressed serious concern over the rising number of COVID-19 positive cases and urged the J&K administration to revive the healthcare system.
In a handout, Wanchoo stated: “Improper working of the administration has resulted in the rise of COVID-19 patients and deaths due to the pandemic in J&K.”
“The administration has failed to tackle the pandemic and other serious issues in Jammu region,” he claimed adding that the scarcity of oxygen cylinders in majority of the hospital is yet another major cause of deaths due to Corona.
“The rising death rate due to Coronavirus has triggered fear among masses,” he said adding that the administration should take a thorough review of health department in J&K.
Wanchoo said, there is a dire need to implement strict lockdown amidst rising COVID-19 cases and authorities should take the initiatives at the earliest.
BJYM Spokesperson alleged that COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines are not being adhered properly in healthcare institutions.
“Administration is nowhere seen working at the ground level as COVID cases are still alarming and increasing day-by-day,” the BJYM leader claimed.
He said, BJP Government at the Centre is serious about the sufferings being faced by the people of J&K and is extending all possible support.
