JAMMU, Apr 25: Former MLC and PCC chief spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma has demanded more water tankers in Sunderbani and Nowshera areas besides necessary up-gradation, repairs and maintenance of the water supply schemes to meet the drinking water requirements of the people, who are badly suffering in several areas of Nowshera constituency.
Interacting with local representatives and party leaders in different villages of Nowshera Constituency, Sharma said that several water supply schemes need augmentations besides repair, maintenance or replacement of old machineries, otherwise, the summer season will be very difficult meeting the drinking water needs in several parts.
He said that the administration and higher ups in the department should gear up and activate their field functionaries besides making them responsible and accountable. He said that there are complaints of non-availability and leaving stations by them towards Jammu, as a result there is lack of supervision and quick redressal of the public grievances.
Sharma assured the people in different areas that he would forcefully agitate their demands, if there is lack of responsiveness on the part of field functionaries and supervisory officials.
