JAMMU, Oct 31: The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Jammu recently held an alumni meet, bringing together alumni, faculty, and esteemed guests for an evening dedicated to celebrating achievements, strengthening bonds and fostering connections across generations of IMS graduates.
The gathering was inaugurated with a warm welcome extended by Dr Meenakshi Sharma, Director of IMS, alongside Senior Professor Prof J R Dhotra, Coordinator of both Departments and Assistant Professor Gurshish Kour.
The event provided a platform for alumni to share their professional journeys and insights, enriching the current students and staff with their experiences and accomplishments.
As part of the event, several distinguished alumni were invited to share their inspiring stories. Notable alumni included Aditya Sharma, ASM at Jai Beverages Pvt Ltd; Payal Koul, Associate Consultant at Capgemini; Ujwal Manhas, IT Helpdesk Engineer at RVS iGlobal; and Sahil Sharma, entrepreneur and political figure from the Jammu region. They discussed their journey so far and highlighted the diversity of paths IMS alumni have taken and the significant impact they are making across industries.
In addition, the event recognized a group of alumni achievers whose dedication and professional milestones have contributed to the reputation of IMS Jammu. Among them were Aryamann Singh, owner of Shiv Shakti & Pace Hyundai Jammu; Aditi Bhel, HR Manager at Modern Real Estate in Dubai; Mohit Kumar Sharma, cricketer and researcher on the Wool and Pelt Project at SKUAST; and Rahul Sharma, founder and MD of Monk Solution, among others. Each alumnus received a token of appreciation, presented by Dr Meenakshi Sharma and Prof J R Dhotra, as a mark of gratitude and respect for their contributions.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Prof J R Dhotra, who expressed appreciation for the alumni’s engagement and encouraged continued collaboration between IMS and its graduates to inspire future generations.
Chairman JGEI, Vidhi S Jamwal; Managing Director, Renu Bangroo and Vice Chairman Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal said that IMS Jammu looks forward to more such gatherings and the evening was a reminder of the institution’s commitment to fostering enduring connections and supporting the growth of its alumni network.
