NEW DELHI : Noted filmmaker Imtiaz Ali joined hands with a top Japanese production house for his next film ‘Love in Tokyo’, trade sources said today.
To be directed by Arid Ali, ‘Love in Tokyo’ will be produced by Imtiaz in collaboration with top Japanese entertainment house, Shochiku. Touted as a cross-culture romance, ‘Love In Tokyo’ borrows its title from the 1966 hit starring Asha Parekh and Joy Mukhrrjee.
However, the filmmakers insist the film is not a remake of the 1966 movie. Trade sources say ‘Love in Tokyo’ will be shot almost entirely in Japan. In a recent interview Imtiaz said, he is looking forward to explore the culture of Japan through this movie. (AGENCIES)
