KARGIL, Jan 5: Conde-mning US for the gruesome attack which led to the ‘martyrdom’ of General Qasim Soleimani and Commander Mehdi Muhandis, the people of Kargil under the banner of Imam Khomieni Memorial Trust (IKMT) took out in-absentia funeral procession of Soleimani and Mehdi.
The procession started from the city Jamia Masjid after the Zohrain Nimaz and culminated at Lal Chowk after passing through the Market. Click here to watch video
Thousands of people including a large number of women of Zainabia society participated in the procession and raised anti-US slogans.
The participants in the procession were carrying placards with slogans like ‘Down with USA’, ‘We are with Iranian people’ etc written on them.
Speaking on this occasion Hojjatul Islam Sheikh Bashir Shakir, Vice Chairman IKMT condemned the act by USA.
Another speaker Molana Karari said, General Qasim Soleimani was an exemplary warrior of Iran who defeated ISIS in Syria and Iraq.
Chairman IKMT Kargil, Hojjatul Islam Sheikh Mohammad Sadiq Rajai who concluded the procession strongly condemned the brutal act of US.
The procession ended with slogans against USA and in favour of the martyrs.
