Inadequate staff, infrastructure in Govt Schools trigger protest

RAMBAN, Aug 7: Parents of the students from Gundi Dharam area of Gool along with locals of the area here today staged a protest demonstration against the shortage of teaching staff and infrastructure in Government School Dharam and other schools of the area.
The protesters were demanding adequate teaching staff at Government High School Dharam and other necessary infrastructure and facilities there and other schools located in Gundi Dharam block of Gool.
They said that Government High School Dharam is without headmaster as the headmaster posted at the School has been given an additional charge of headmaster of some other Schools in Gool.
“The maths teacher posted at High School Dharam is attached at Government Higher Secondary School Gool,” the protesters maintained demanding appointment of a computer teacher for the High School.
They said that majority of posts of teachers are lying vacant in Government Schools in Dharam area of Gool.
“Staff shortage is adversely affecting the studies of poor students in these Government Schools of Dharam block of Education Zone Gool,” the protesters continued.
They appealed to the concerned authorities, district administration and J&K UT administration to deploy adequate staff at the Schools of Gundi Dharam area.
