JAMMU, Feb 5: Plus 2 In-charge lecturers criticised the dilly-dallying practices of School Education Department and showed anger over delay in regularization of their services in a press briefing organised here today.
A press briefing was addressed by Amar Nath Thakur, Chairman of JKSEECC/ JKGTF.
Speaking on the occasion, Thakur said “A order No: 707 Edu. of 2018 dated 28/5/2018 for the regularization of all cadres was issued to complete the regularization process within two months, but order was not yet implemented in letter and spirit by the higher authority so far”, he said.
He further said that the then State Administrative Council (SAC) under the chairmanship of the then Governor Satya Pal Malik took the decision to regularize all in-charge gazetted cadres as a onetime exemption and a five member regularization committee was also constituted under the chairmanship of Commissioner/Secretary School Education Department.
He narrated Sarita Chouhan the then Commissioner/ Secretary had convened the first meeting of the committee in 2019 in which she cleared the regularization of 8 In-charge Joint Directors, 27 CEOs and Lecturers of different discipline but since then the regularisation committee never holds meeting so far. “ Due to the non-regularization of 12000 gazetted officer/ lecturers since 2007, hundreds have died while thousands have retired without regularization”, they alleged.
