Increase Assembly seats of Jammu to end discrimination: Mankotia

UDHAMPUR, Jan 17: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Balwant Singh Mankotia said that no one can stop to upgrade Jagnoo and Tikri to the status of Niabat.
Addressing a press conference, MLA said that already decision has been taken to include the Jagnoo and Tikri in the list of CD Block, adding that the decision has also been taken to upgrade Lander to full flashed Niabat.
He also said that he met Cabinet Sub Committee and apprised them to upgrade Jagnoo, Garhi, Rehamble and Jib Thathi to the status of Niabat.
The Committee was also apprised to introduce new patwar halka and new Panchayat in the Udhampur.
MLA also asked Sub Committee to raise the seats of Jammu province to 46 so that discrimination with Jammu people will be omitted.
Among others present were Sudesh Kumar, Gulshan Kesar, Babloo and Subash Mahadeep.
Meanwhile, Association of Industries, Udhampur met Mankotia and submitted a memorandum of demands including shortage of water supply, electricity and deteriorating road conditions at Battal Ballian Industrial Units.
The deputation included Chairman of the association SK Chowdhary, senior vice president Raghbir Gandotra, Vijay Kapoor, Pardeep Bakshi, Sanjeev Sharma, Sushil Sharma, Vikas Sharma, Subash Kailoo, Happy Gandotra, Sameer Gupta, etc.
