Increase health measures in migrant camps: LJP

JAMMU, May 10: A video conference was held by Sanjay Saraf, national spokesperson and president Jammu and Kashmir, Lok Janshakti Party, in which discussion was held on the prevailing situation of COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Saraf said that as COVID cases are increasing day by day in Jammu, the Government should provide sufficient health measures at all migrant camps, so that the generation will not suffer anymore due to spreading of COVID-19 pandemic virus.
Saraf has strongly appealed to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to take urgent preventive measures in all camps by carrying out regular COVID-19 tests and health checkups. He urged to Government to facilitate Oxygen cylinders available at PHC/ Hospitals of all camps in Jammu, it is the utmost duty of Government to ensure free masks are provided to these camps, above all vaccination drives should be conducted inside the camp locations only, which will definitely protect the people from going outside the camp. Small portable and movable PHC clinics can be set inside these locations on daily basis. He also demanded to hike in cash relief to KP migrants in view of COVID-19 pandemic.
The conference was attended by Sanjay Raina, vice-president JKUT, Anita Chandpuri president Women Wing JKUT, Randeep Singh, president Sports JKUT, Satveer Kaur provincial president, Women Wing Jammu, Neha Sharma vice-president, Woman Wing JKUT and other members of party.
