Increase patrolling to keep check on peace disturbers: Mayor to SSP

JAMMU, Nov 1: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta has requested the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Chandan Kohli to increase patrolling to keep check over peace disturbers.
He stated this while chairing a meeting of public at Rajpura Park Shakti Nagar here today.
SP North Mohita Sharma, SDPO Rahul Nagar, SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ravi Kant, Corporater Anu Bali, Surinder Singh and many prominent citizens were present during the meeting.
Chander Mohan Gupta also appreciated the work done by Jammu Police in eradicating the drug menace in the area.
A threadbare discussion took place about various issues. SSP Jammu said that more steps shall be taken to narrow down the gap between public and police. Proper care should be taken regarding parking of vehicles, he added.
SSP Jammu also briefed them to aware the people of their respective areas to maintain social distancing and wear face masks during travelling and follow COVID SOPs. Other important issues discussed were regarding illegal mining, theft cases, illicit liquor etc. and various other important issues. Parents were told to keep a watch on the activities of their children.
SSP Jammu gave a patient hearing to the public and asked them to come forward in sharing information related to crime in their area.
Later, SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ravi Kant presented vote of thanks.
