JAMMU, Aug 27: The indefinite strike by the PM and Non-Package employees posted in Kashmir entered 106th day. The strike is going on in the wake of recent target killings of Kashmiri Pandits in valley.
On the occasion, RK Bhat, President of Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) and North India Coordinator of Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora (GKPD) joined the protesting employees along with his team at Relief Commissioner’s office here.
Bhat extended his support to employees, who are demanding relocation and attachment to Relief Commissioner’s office, any other camp offices or any offices at Jammu till security conditions becomes conducive in valley for Kashmiri Pandits.
RK Bhat said that the Rehabilitation Policy feedback is void and the ruling Government has failed to protect the fundamental rights of Kashmiri pandits in Kashmir. “Neither UT Government nor the Central Government has understood the agony and pain of Kashmiri Pandits as a result no talks are being initiated with these employee”, he added.
He said it is serious matter of concern that the Kashmiri Pandit employees are on roads and are struggling for their justice. He further said that a community meet was organized by YAIKS last week in which eminent and intellectuals of KP Community made it clear that demand of KP employees for attachment to RC Office Jammu is justified while keeping in view the situation in valley.
He appreciated Government for its national and international developments but for Kashmiri Pandit community nothing has been done.
