JAMMU, Apr 27: Dilip Kumar Pandita independent candidate for Anantnag -Rajouri Parliamentary constituency while releasing his election manifesto today said that reunion of all Kashmiris will be his priority by engaging serious intra community dialogue through civil society.
Talking to reporters here, he said that democracies across the world have grown as the parties demonstrate their policy matters before the people and voters evaluate the blueprint of progressive schemes and ideas. But unfortunately Indian democracy has not grown up to that extent. Here politics is dominated by religion, region, caste and other issues while real issues of development are kept behind and exploitation of voters takes centre stage, he added.
Pandita said he will strive for addressing the issue of growing unemployment, impress upon Government of India for maintenance of peace and develop confidence of J&K youth in seeking special employment package for them.
He said J&K being a sensitive State “I propose for special attention from the Centre to provide five percent reservation to youth of J&K irrespective of their caste, religion and region in professional institutions, universities as well as private institutions outside J&K”.
Pandita said he will work for implementation of liberal industrial policy for J&K, ensure strengthening of basic institutes of democracy local bodies, work for upgrading the living standard of people, to create means of education, health care, veterinary care for nomads, to work for Constitutional safeguards of employment and land in J&K.
He said besides, he will work for restoration of Statehood to J&K as well as Ladakh, work for welfare of PM package employees and strive for providing them all facilities and take an honest initiative for improving the economy of the J&K by forcing the Government to launch eco friendly schemes and preserve the natural beauty of J&K.
