SRINAGAR, Dec 18: An independent candidate from Bandipora, Ghulam Ahmed Bhat, passed away today just five days before the counting of votes.
Bhat, 63, developed chest pain last evening and was admitted to hospital where he breathed his last today. Bhat was among the eight independent candidates who were contesting the polls from Bandipora constituency.
