JAMMU : Langate Independent MLA Engineer Rashid and the members of the mainstream opposition Peoples Democratic Party were today marshalled out of State Legislative Assembly after they disrupted the proceedings.
Engineer Rashid was marshalled out twice from the House on the directions of Speaker Mubarak Gul when he raised the issue of ex-Minister Shabir Khan, accused in an alleged molestation case, attending the proceedings.
PDP legislators were also marshalled out of the House on the directions from Speaker’s chair when they joined one of their members Sayed Bashir, who was protesting in the well of the House.
The member was raising an issue and staging protest following which the Speaker gave directions to marshal him out, vehemently opposed by other PDP legislators.
They also joined the protesting MLA. The Speaker, however, gave directions to marshal out the PDP legislators.
PDP members, chanting slogans, clashed with the marshals during the protest. (AGENCIES)
