Addressing an election rally in favour of Congress candidate for Jammu Lok Sabha seat Raman Bhalla at Thandi Khui in Jammu this afternoon, Raj Babbar said that Modi Government waived off loans of sixteen lakh crores of two dozens big industrialists but farmers are protesting on streets for their petty loans.
He said that BJP has downgraded and divided the historical state into UT and deprived people of their valuable rights of people of J&K, who are worst sufferers of the policies of Modi Government in last ten years and there is no elected Government for several years.
He said that mood of people in J&K and elsewhere in the country is to replace this pro- rich and anti- poor, anti-youth, anti- farmers Government. He said Congress has come out with best guarantees for the unemployed youth, farmers, women, working class and oppressed people which shall be implemented fully. He appealed to the people to elect Raman Bhalla with big margin, who is people’s man.
Bhalla lashed out at the BJP for total betrayal with people of J&K in which Jammu has suffered the most in every sphere. Our identity, status, rights and resources have been snatched and more over our democracy has been taken away. People have been left at the mercy of bureaucrats who are accountable to none and dancing to the tunes of BJP leaders only.
The unemployment is at the peak, the price rise is touching the sky and common man is made to pay taxes and fees from their noose. BJP has only opened liquor shops and deprived the local people of their business, jobs and contracts while poor people, daily wagers, anganwari, asha workers, contractual, temporary and other employees are betrayed. The schools have been closed in large numbers and jobs of teachers , others stopped and several scams in recruitment have taken place.
Apart from Bhalla, senior leaders of Congress- NC including AICC Coordinators Ravinder Sharma, Naresh Gupta, former Minister Yashpal Kundal, senior leaders Rajnish Sharma, T S Tony, Subhash Bhagat, Sanjeev Sharma, former Minister Gurbachan Rana, NC senior leader Mohinder Singh, Gurinder Pal Singh AICC Coordinator OBC Dept, IYC gen secretary Jagdev Singh, Dwarka Chaudhary and others spoke on the occasion.
