JAMMU, May 22: Exuding confidence in winning the Lok Sabha polls, JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla today claimed that the INDIA bloc will form the next Government with the support of more than 350 MPs on June 4.
Addressing party workers during a meeting at Gadigarh today, Bhalla said that he sees no scope for the BJP’s return. “We are confident that the BJP will fail to form the next government. The Congress-led INDIA bloc will secure a comfortable victory. The way people from different corners of the country are joining hands with the INDIA bloc, I see no scope for the BJP’s return and Narendra Modi can’t become the PM for the third consecutive term,” Bhalla said.
Reacting to PM Modi’s call for 400 seats, the Congress leader said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi never keeps his promise. His claims fall flat most of the time. Even the BJP could sense very well that they are nowhere close to the target they have set for themselves. So far, as per our calculations, we are forming the government with the support of more than 350 MPs in total.
“BJP befooled people with false promises that they failed to fulfill. So, people made up their minds to replace the government with INDI Alliance-led new government. The INDI Alliance will form Government with 350 seats”, Bhalla said.
He expressed confidence that people will bring about change to bring back good days as people are fed up with the policies and programs of BJP and economic policies. He said that congress will bring about change for the betterment of youth, farmers, women and workers as guaranteed in the Congress Nyay- Pattar.
Bhalla said Congress makes programmes for ameliorating the lot of the people by providing basic amenities to all of them. Education, healthcare, provision of modern infrastructure, uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, job creation for the unemployeds, empowerment of the women and SCs, STs, and all the socially neglected sections of the society are on top agenda of the Congress party.
Prominent among those present on the occasion include Taranjit Singh, Amrit Bali, Pawan Bhagat, Vijay Sharma, Ashraf Ali, Gurmeet Singh, Gurupal Singh, Rajinder Singh, Devinder Singh, Lalit Sharma, Sunil Slathai, Aya Singh, Surjit Singh and others.
