Modi’s zero-tolerance policy hailed by world

JAMMU, Nov 26: The Narendra Modi Government’s “zero-tolerance” policy against terrorism has been appreciated by the entire world and India has become a world leader in anti-terror initiatives, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said today as he paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the Mumbai terror attack.
Shah said cowardly terrorists shamed humanity by killing innocent people in Mumbai on this day in 2008.
“I pay my emotional tribute to the soldiers who attained martyrdom while fighting terrorists in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and pay homage to those who lost their lives,” he said in a post on X in Hindi with the hashtag #MumbaiTerrorAttack.
Terrorism is a blot on the entire human civilisation and the Modi Government’s “zero-tolerance” policy against terrorism has been appreciated by the entire world. Today, India has become a world leader in anti-terror initiatives, the Home Minister said.
Ten terrorists from Pakistan carried out the worst-ever terror attack in India on November 26, 2008, in Mumbai that left 166 people dead.
Meanwhile, Shah greeted people on Constitution Day and said the strength of democracy in a huge country like India is its Constitution, which gives the mantra of national unity and integrity.
Conveying heartiest greetings to the people on ‘Constitution Day’, the Home Minister said India is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Constitution with great enthusiasm and to commemorate the contribution of the architects of the Constitution.
“The strength of democracy of a huge country like India is our Constitution, which gives the mantra of national unity and integrity by ensuring justice and equal rights to every person,” he wrote on ‘X’ in Hindi with the hashtag #75YearsOfConstitution.
Shah said the Constitution is not just a book to be displayed on stage, but it is the key to make the highest contribution to public life by internalising it with full devotion. “Let us pledge to build a strong, prosperous and self-reliant India on this Constitution Day,” he said.
