JAMMU: India and Pakistan today exchanged sweets to mark Eid celebrations on the Line of Control in Poonch district.
On the occasion of the ‘Id-Ul-Zuha’, the Army representatives of India and Pakistan exchanged sweets at Poonch-Rawalakot Crossing Point and Tattapani-Mendhar Crossing Point in Krishna Ghati Sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The exchange of sweets is an appreciated gesture from both the countries and is a regular event on the occasions of Diwali and Eid,” a defence spokesman here said
He said the event is a testimony of goodwill and will certainly strengthen the efforts towards maintaining peace and tranquillity along Line of Control. (AGENCIES)
