JAMMU, Sept 16: Indian Railways today started “Swacchata Pakhwada” campaign -2023. The campaign was started today and will continue till 30th Sept 2023.
The Pakhwada will culminate on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd of October 2023.
On the first day of the campaign the theme was “Swacchata Sapath and Swacchata Jagrukta.”
On the occasion Sukhvinder Singh Division Railway Manager/Delhi administered the Swacchata Pledge to the officers and staff at DRM office New Delhi.
The Pledge was administered to officers and staff by Head of units all over Delhi Division i.e. Railway Stations, Sheds, Offices, etc.
A tree plantation drive was also done at Railway Stations.
Cleaning was organized along the tracks near Delhi Azadpur Railway Station on the Subzi Mandi – Adarsh Nagar rail section. In this regard “Vrikshit” an NGO came forward for cleaning the garbage on this occasion.
DRM/Delhi thanked the volunteers of the NGO for providing their services in this Noble cause.
