IndianOil spearheads major community initiatives

Bihar, Jan 21: IndianOil, the top Indian Company in Fortune ‘500’ Global listing has initiated several important community initiatives in Bihar.
As part of this, Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Skill Development Centre Dakshata, which has been set up in IndianOil’s Barauni Refinery Township in partnership with CII. The Centre will train about 400 youth in a year in selected trades, creating employment avenues for them.
B Ashok, Chairman IndianOil, Sandeep Poundrik, Joint Secretary (Refineries) Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Sanjiv Singh, Director (Refineries) IndianOil were present among other dignitaries and political luminaries of the area on this occasion.
Several other initiatives have also been launched for the benefit of the neighbouring villagers like Nishakt Sahayata Yojana for providing artificial limbs and medical assistance to physically challenged, Surya Jyoti Yojana for distribution of solar lanterns, Balika Uthhan Yojana which aims to encourage girl students through distribution of educational aids and Pashu Swasthya  Sanrakshan Yojana for improving the health of village cattle through mobile veterinary clinics, ultimately ushering in prosperity for the village communities.
Speaking on the occasion, Dharmendra Pradhan announced setting up of a Nursing School by IndianOil to impart training to young girls in the area, besides giving away scholarships to meritorious girls and boys for pursuing their academic dreams.
IndianOil as India’s largest commercial enterprise has been undertaking key CSR initiatives and interventions at numerous locations across the country, that have helped transform the lives of the local population.
