India’s hinterland continues to remain target of terrorists

NEW DELHI, Feb 11:
The Indian hinterland continues to remain the prime focus of Pakistan-based terrorist outfits, particularly the Lashkar-e-Taiba and Indian Mujahideen, Minister of State for Home RPN Singh said today.
“These Pakistan-based terrorist outfits are setting up their terrorist infrastructure in Bangladesh and using the porous Bangladesh-India border to send arms and ammunitions into Indian territory,” he told Lok Sabha.
Besides, he said, the Indo-Nepal border is being used for infiltration/exfiltration of manpower, arms and ammunition into India.
The Minister said reports received from intelligence agencies suggest the involvement of neighbouring countries in the terrorist activities in the country. (PTI)
