Sir,
The article “Rise of Indian Manufacturing” (March 6) aptly highlights India’s transformation into a global manufacturing hub. The success of initiatives like Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat is evident in sectors such as semiconductors, automobiles, and defence production. The rise of indigenous industries not only reduces dependency on imports but also strengthens India’s global competitiveness.
However, to sustain this momentum, challenges such as infrastructure gaps, bureaucratic hurdles, and skill shortages must be addressed. Focus on green energy and sustainable practices is equally crucial for long-term growth. Additionally, while India’s digital advancements are commendable, continuous innovation and investment in research and development are vital.
PM Modi’s vision of India as the world’s factory is within reach, but it requires strategic execution and policy support. The world is watching, and India must seize this opportunity with commitment and foresight.
