JAMMU, Dec 20: India’s first youth-centric film festival, Global Youth Film Festival (GYFM- 2024), was inaugurated at Chandigarh today.
The festival organized by Supremacy Talents and presented by the Institute of Moving Images (IMI), Chandigarh, showcased an impressive lineup of films by independent filmmakers.
Adding to the cultural vibrancy, the festival featured an open mic event titled Mic Tonic, which provided a platform for young talents to display their artistic prowess.
The event was anchored by Miss Arshdeep Kour, Miss Teen Tourism Earth 2024 and graced by Dr. Parveen Kataria Director General Aryans Group of colleges as the Chief Guest.
Maninder Kour Shahi director E-Solutions pvt Ltd, the guest of honour and Zanat Sood was the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashima Sharma, Founder of Supremacy Talents, expressed her vision for the festival.
She said, “This platform aims to empower young filmmakers and give their stories the recognition they deserve. Through collaborations with our esteemed partners, we are building a bridge between emerging talent and the global stage.”
An esteemed jury panel evaluated the showcased films, comprising Hardeep, Shalu, Sarab, Gandharv.
