Indo Pak conflict of 1965

Sir,
Thanks are due to “the former General Officer Commanding 15 Corps which fought the 1965 war in J&K “for his enlightening write-up on the 6th page of Daily Excelsior  dt. 3.8.2015. For those of us who are not sufficiently knowledgeable about the geography and the terrain of this vast area it was always intriguing why we had to return the strategic Haji Peer Pass once wrested from Pakistan at a heavy price; infact, common man lost faith in our negotiating capabilities in Tashkent. This article has cleared the fog. In almost all wars with India-Pakistan has been losing her territory. One wonders when Pakistan shall understand that the majority of Kashmirs are interested in pursuing their life’s routine chores peacefully and are averse to blood shedding, the sooner they realize this and accept it Pakistan shall better the lot of her people.
Yours etc…
