Indo-Pak quarterly coordination meeting held

AMRITSAR, Dec 19:
The India-Pakistan quarterly coordination meeting between Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers was today held at Joint Check Post (JCP)  Attari.
The Indian delegation was headed by BSF Deputy Inspector General P S Bains while Pakistan Rangers Punjab Deputy Director General Brigadier Muhammad Jamil led his group.
The Indian delegation included BSF Deputy Inspector Generals from Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan Frontiers and BSF HQrs New Delhi, besides representative of Narcotics Control Bureau. Pakistan delegation included Sector Commanders and Senior Officers of Pakistan Rangers Head Quarters Lahore besides senior representative of Pakistan Anti-Narcotics  Force.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to defence construction, firing incidents, border problems and crimes like drug trafficking, infiltration, smuggling of Arms/Amn/FICN, inadvertent border crossings and other matters of mutual interest were discussed for effective border management. (PTI)
