DHARAMSHALA: The Indo-Thailand Joint Training Exercise Maitree 2017 culminated today at Friendly Foreign Country Node, Bakloh in Himachal Pradesh.
Lt Col Manish Mehta Defence Spokesperson today told UNI that the exercise concluded with a validation exercise based on Counter Terrorism setting.
Lt. Col. Mehta said that the fourteen days of Joint Training included understanding of each other’s operational methodology, developing interoperability and conduct of a joint tactical operations controlled by a Joint Command Post.
General Officer Commanding, Dah Division Major General VS Ranade, after addressing the participating contingents declared the Joint Training Exercise closed. He said that the observers of both the nations appreciated the professionally conducted training which has resulted in instilling confidence in each other’s capability.
The present iteration of the joint exercise was conducted under the Dalhousie Brigade of Dah Division in Northern Command. (AGENCIES)
