JAKARTA, Jan 5 : The United States, Russia and Indonesia should work together to solve global problems, Puan Maharani, the speaker of the Indonesian parliament’s lower house, said in an interview with Sputnik.
According to the politician, at the moment all states should develop international cooperation and “avoid unilateral actions”.
“Currently, the world is facing various global problems, such as wars and climate change. These global problems require a global solution and international cooperation, including from the US, Russia and Indonesia,” she said.
Puan Maharani also called for a solution to the conflict in Ukraine through negotiations.
“In various international parliamentary forums, the Indonesian House of Representatives always calls for an end to the conflict in Ukraine. We call for respect for territorial integrity, compliance with international law and the UN Charter. We call on all parties to resolve the dispute through diplomacy, negotiations and consultations,” the politician noted.
