POONCH, Mar 31: Sikh Intellectual Forum (SIF) Poonch has demanded that Sikh community should be provided representation in the new Cabinet of  PDP-BJP Coalition in the State.
Addressing media persons, senior members of the Forum Prof  Hardev Singh,  Harcharan Singh Khalsa, Harvinder Singh and Hazara Singh  said that Sikh community is feeling neglected.   They were denied representation in the State Cabinet.  They  strongly appealed to the BJP National President Amit Shah and State BJP chief,  Sat Sharma to induct a Sikh member into the new Cabinet.  These leaders pointed out that without a Sikh member, the State Cabinet will be incomplete.
The Forum stressed upon the BJP that Charanjeet Singh Khalsa is MLC and strong leader of the community who has worked hard in Kashmir during peak of militancy. He should be inducted as Minister in the new Cabinet from the BJP quota.
They said that for providing justice to the minority community, it is necessary to induct a Sikh member as minister. During the Mufti Sayeed Government,  no Sikh member was accorded this opportunity. They also demanded setting up of Minority Commission in the State.
