Industrial Policy

Sir,
This has reference to the ‘New Industrial Policy’ unveiled by the Government.
The much awaited policy, it seems, may infuse  a new life into the industrial sector of the State. This sector has witnessed worst times during last 25 years, and is lagging behind its competitors in other parts of the country. Even the incentives that have been provided to the sector from time to time have failed to promote it to the extent to thrive independently.
The investors from other parts are hesitant to invest here primarily due to a number of factors which include tough terrain, shortage of electricity, militancy and other hurdles. Besides, there is shortage of skilled man power in the market. Those who have set up their shops here are dejected. The quality of goods produced in local factories is not upto  standard.  Hence there are no buyers for the product. If industrial sector has to survive in the State. The Government should have a policy to take these loopholes into account.
Yours etc…..
