JAMMU, July 29: Chairman, J&K SIDCO, Chander Parkash Ganga, Minister for Industries and Commerce, today received a cheque of Rs 7 crore from Dabur India Limited as land allotment fees in upcoming new Industrial Growth Centre, Samba – Phase III.
The cheque was received by the Minister in the presence of Amit Sharma, Managing Director, J&K SIDCO, RS Tara, Director, Industries Jammu, RS Sharma, OSD to I&C Minister, Alok Gupta, Plant Head of Dabur India, Vikram Gupta, GM, SIDCO, Pankaj Gupta, XEn SIDCO, Estates Managers of SIDCO and others in a simple function held here today at Udyog Bhavan.
It is worthwhile to mention here that IGC Samba, III phase is coming up in a big way in which about 1500 kanals of land has already been acquired and about 1300 kanals are being acquired soon for allotment to prospective unit holders.
Recently, a committed investment of about Rs 2500 crore was approved in 40th Apex Project Clearance Committee meeting held under the chairpersonship of Chief Secretary, J&K and guidance of Commissioner/Secretary I&C Department, out of which two premier blue-chip companies Bluestar India and Dabur India have already been allotted land and J&K SIDCO has earned revenues of about Rs 20 crore due to these land allotments.
These two plants within themselves are investing about Rs 350 crore and planning to employ about 1000 unemployed youth of the State here.
Chander Parkash Ganga, while speaking on the occasion assured the Dabur India Group that J&K SIDCO will leave no stone unturned in successful execution of these two projects in best professional manner as it has been doing in the past. He mentioned explicitly that after his taking over as Industries & Commerce Minister since last one year, this sector has seen ample growth and attracted huge investments with relentless efforts of J&K SIDCO team under leadership of MD SIDCO.
