JAMMU, July 24: The State Government today reconstituted its Industry Advisory Committee with Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed as the Chairman and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh as the Vice-Chairman.
The Advisory Committee shall suggest measures for ease of doing business and creation of an enabling environment for the development of Industry in J&K besides discussing various demands by the industrial associations from time to time.
The committee members are; Minister for Industries and Commerce, MoS Industries and Commerce, Chief Secretary J&K, Administrative Secretaries of Planning & Development Department, Forest, PDD, Finance Department, Agriculture Production, IT Department, Revenue, Joint Secretaries of Commerce and Industry GoI, DIPP Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GoI, Chairman State Pollution Control Board J&K, Administrative, Commissioner Commercial Taxes J&K, president Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir/Jammu, president Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir, president Federation of Industries Jammu and representative of Confederation of Indian Industries (J&K Chapter).
The Committee shall meet once in three months and may co-opt any officer or non-official in its deliberation as special invitee with the approval of the Chairman.
