UDHAMPUR, Feb 18: District Information Centre, Udhampur organized a multilingual Mushaira at Government Higher Secondary School, Garhi here today.
The prominent and budding poets of the district which mainly include Balraj Bakshi, Jia Lal Jia, S. D Kotwal, Avdesh Mishra, Surjeet Singh Hosh, Jagdeep Dubey, M.R. Bhamagi, Bachiter Singh Beragi, Madan Kundal, Vijay Kumar Gupta, Kiran Salathia, Ram Krishan, Ashok Kumar besides budding poets Zulakha Bibi and Simran etc participated in the poetic Mushaira and presented their poetic verses touching all aspects of society.
Principal of the host school, Dharam Paul Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sharma appreciated the efforts of Information Department for organizing Mushaira and said that such programmes should be organized in near future so that people in general and literary personalities of the district particular may participate in such programmes. He further added that the interaction of young poets with established poets of the district would go a long way in shaping students talent in poetry.
The young poets of the area also presented their poetry in a great perfection which also got appreciation by the audience present on the occasion.
