REASI, May 12: In a tragic mishap, a 17- month old baby died after the child fell in a water filled pit dug for erecting pillar in under-construction house , here today.
The mishap took place in the house of Kuldeep Singh, who was constructing a new house near his existing one at Kudokote Morha in Panchayat Sujandhar in Bhomag.
The infant, identified as Nikhar Thakur, son of Kuldeep Singh, fell in the pit, which was filled with water due to rainfall in the early morning hours. Before the family came to know about the mishap, the child had died.
