The recent militant encounter at Jhajjar Kotli in which three dreaded militants of JeM were killed, have infiltrated from Pakistan through Hiranagar border in Jammu. We have witnessed infiltrations through international border between Hiranagar and Samba in the past too.
Since 1990, Kashmir has witnessed disturbance and destruction courtesy the Pak sponsored militancy. Jammu and Ladakh have remained peaceful till now. Pakistan wants to spread the tentacles of militancy in these two parts of the State also in order to weaken India. Our security forces have been doing commendable work in containing militancy since its eruption. Jammuites need to rise and cooperate with the security agencies to crush militants in the division. The present scenario demands eschewing of ideological differences and stand united in the face of militancy that is posing threat to Jammuites.
