Infiltrators, terrorists would be wiped out from country: Yogi

KANPUR : Appealing to the people of Kanpur to make the city free from plastic and polythene, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday announced that infiltrators and terrorists would be wiped out from the country.
“Abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir will end terrorism in the nation, while NRC will chase out the infiltrators from the country,” he said.
Addressing a public meeting here at Central Park in Shastrinagar area, Mr Adityanath said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have done a historic work by ending Articles 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Article 370 just encouraged terrorism in J&K but after its abrogation, development will be seen there,” he said.
According to the CM, NRC will also reduce infiltration in the country, as the infiltrators would be thrown out of the country.
Talking about the development of Kanpur, he said, “People of Kanpur should stop using plastic and polythene, so that the city becomes clean and environment-friendly.” He said Kanpur has done well in Namami Gange project and warned that government would not allow development funds to be siphoned off, in the name of corruption.
Announcing that the construction work of metro would soon start in Kanpur, while city transport system would be made better, the CM said all the Ganga ghats were being made beautiful. Besides, others works were also underway, to provide all basic facilities to the people.
During his visit, the Chief Minister laid foundation stone and inaugurated projects worth over Rs 515 crore. UP BJP president Swantratra Deo Singh, state Minister Satish Mahana, along with other BJP leaders and state Ministers, were present in the programme.
Mr Adityanath is visiting all places in the state, where Assembly bypolls would be held soon. He is expected to visit Barabanki and Mau also on Monday.
Meanwhile, before the arrival of the Chief Minister in Kanpur, several Samajwadi Party leaders, including MLA Irfan Solanki, were detained and not allowed to go out of their houses. The SP leaders were expected to raise protest at the rally ground of the Mr Adityanath, which led to this action by police.
