Jammu, Feb 22: A scintillating cultural-cum-mushaira based on the Dogra Folk Culture organised by Cultural Wing of Information Department at Dogri Sahitya Sabha in Dansal, here today.
In the multilingual Mushaira, about 13 renowned poets of Dansal and propagated the message of peace, brotherhood and moral values among the people especially among the younger generation.
The poets participated in the Mushaira included Janak Raj Bhagat, Eaj Kumar Sharma, Prof Swaran Singh, Ram Krishen, Master Ashok, Swarana Devi, Ram Pal Sharma, Bishan Dass Langah, Hans Raj Sumbaria, Subash Sumbaria, Vani Sir and Narayan Dutt participated and read their papers in Dogri.
In 2-hour long cultural programme, the renowned artists of Information Department included Jeevan Sharma, Vijay Anand, Sunil Sharma, Surjit Singh Sumbaria, Archna Sharma, Zulikha Farid, Kamal Kumar and Bodh presented colourful cultural items which were highly applauded by the jam-packed present audience of Dansal town.
The aim to organise Mushaira-cum-Cultural programme at Dansal was to provide platform to budding artists in presenting their hidden talent and promoting the rural folk talent in the area.
