Info dept organises cultural prog for police families

JAMMU, June 19: As part of police raising day week celebrations, the Cultural Wing of Information Department organised a colourful cultural programme ‘Sham-e-Gazal’ at Armed Police Complex in Channi Himmat.
Commandant IRP-IV Battalion, Channi Himmat Rashmi Wazir was the chief guest.
The variety show was organised under the supervision of Cultural Officer Department of Information and Public Relations Raman Joshi.
Speaking on the occasion, Wazir highlighted the role of officers and jawans of the police force and stressed on the need for good police-public relations by facilitating general public in building healthy and crime free society.
She asked the Information Department to arrange such type of events in future also for providing healthy environment to the police personnel and their families.
Later, the artists of Cultural Wing of Department of Information and Public Relations also organised a cultural-cum-variety show in the premises of Panchayat Ghar at Kupper Pargalta (Chak) in Dansal block.
Hundreds of people of Dansal block witnessed the 2-hour long programme.
The artists of Cultural Wing of Information Department, who presented colourful cultural items in both the shows included Jeevan Sharma, Vijay Anand, Bunty Kumar, Bodh Raj, Palvi Koul, Amit Anand, Kamal Kumar which were highly appreciated by the present audience.
