UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: District Information Centre, Udhampur organized a multilingual Mushiara in the premises of Kalra College of Education, Battal Ballian here today.
The prominent and budding poets of the district which mainly include Parkash Premi, Prof. S.A Qazi, Jia Lal Jia, S. D Kotwal, Avdesh Mishra, Jagdeep Dubey, M. R. Bhamagi, Bhanu Gupta, Bachiter Singh Beragi, S.K Sharma besides budding poets Usha Kumari, Luxmi Sharma, Vinod, Tahir Mohd, Romesh, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, H.R. Rehman, Mohd Latif, Pooja Mahajan, Shivalika Sharama and Atta-ur-Rehman participated in the Mushiara and presented their poetic verses touching all aspects of life.
State Advisor National Food Security Mission, Govt. of India, M.P. Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the efforts of Information Department for organizing Mushaira and said that such programmes should be organized in near future so that people in general and literary personalities of the district particular may participate in such programmes. He further added that the interaction of young poets with established poets of the district would go a long way in shaping the literary talent .
The poetic recitation of a renowned Dogri poet, Parkash Premi titled “Keh Karna Mera Ser Nama, Jindgi Lattan Ser Na Bhama……” was highly appreciated by the audience, The Gazal “Mohbhat Hamey Nahin Gubra….. ” recited by renowned poet Prof S. A. Qazi got huge applause from the audience while Dogri poem titled “Main Apney Yar Dekehye Yarian Dey Kirdar Dekehye……..” by Dogri poet Jia Lal Jia made the audience to burst into laughters.
The humorous poetic recitation titled ” Jeevan Ach Adeya Nanad Nai….” by Jagdeep Dubey, “Abhi Na Ho Giya Mera Anat …….” by renowned Hindi poet Avdesh Naryan Mishra based on social evil and ” Iss Par Ek Ehasan Karna Iss Par Koi Ehsan Na Karna…… by Advocate Swatantar Dev Kotwal was highly appreciated.
The young poets of the district also presented their poetry with great perfection which also got appreciation by the audience present on the occasion. The Principal of the host college, Ranjna Sharma presented the vote of thanks.
