Initiate probe over death of PDD casual labourer: Apni Party

Srinagar, Dec 30: Apni Party Trade Union President, Ajaz Kazmi today expressed profound grief over the death of PDD casual labourer Mohammad Ramzan who was electrocuted a few days before.
Demanding a through probe into this matter, Kazmi said that those involved in this matter must be brought to justice.
“Mohammad Ramzan Chopan belonged to Rawoocha-Rafiabad who died while repairing a transformer in his locality. But the officials responsible for his death need to booked under law and his family should be provided with adequate compensation as they have lost their bread winner,” he said.
In his statement, Kazmi urged the Electrical Department to ascertain coordination in order to avoid such terrible mishaps in the future. “Such ominous incident is an outcome of lack of coordination and communication gap due to which an innocent life was lost and the hopes of a humble family where shattered. Electrical department must act responsibly in this regard,” he added.
