Injured in clash, boy dies in GMC

RAJOURI, July 22: Injured in a group clash over a land dispute in Kalakote area, a 18-year old boy succumbed to injuries in GMC Hospital, Jammu today.
Sources said that 18-year old Shahnawaz, hailing from Sailsui area of Kalakote received head injury during clash between the members of two families eight days ago. The matter was reported to Kalakote police by the victim party. After pressure from certain quarters, both the parties reached an agreement at Police Station. After four days, the boy who had some internal injury on head complained of headache. He was removed to Rajouri hospital by the family. He went into coma after 2-3 days and then doctors at Rajouri referred him to GMC Jammu where he succumbed to injury during early morning today.
The postmortem of the body was conducted at Kalakote hospital today and the body was handed over to the family. The members alleged that no medical examination of the injured boy was conducted by police on that day and they insisted only on compromise. They demanded that murder case be registered against the accused persons and action may also be taken against police.
