SRINAGAR, Apr 18: The Health & Medical Education (H&ME) Department has issued an order to conduct an inquiry into the lackadaisical approach of the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK), in disposing of genuine cases covered under SRO-43 of 1994.
The inquiry initiated aims to investigate the delay in the submission of compassionate appointment cases by the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir, and to fix the responsibility for causing the delay.
The H&ME Department has constituted a committee to investigate the matter and the committee will comprise Mohammad Abdullah Wagay, Under Secretary to Government, Health & Medical Education Department, Amir Rashid, Head Assistant, Health & Medical Education Department, and Ishfaq Abdullah, Senior Assistant, Health & Medical Education Department.
The committee has been given 15 days from the date of issuance of the order to submit its report.
The Committee’s report will provide details of the delay in the submission of compassionate appointment cases and will fix the responsibility for the delay.
The order has come as a result of complaints from individuals who have been waiting for their cases to be processed under SRO-43 of 1994, while the lack of action by the DHSK has caused considerable inconvenience to the affected individuals and their families.
