JAMMU, June 3: Director Health Services Jammu Dr B S Pathania and the Dy Commissioner Rajouri Hemant Sharma have ordered inquiries into the referral of a rape victim from Nowshera Hospital to District Hospital Rajouri and then to GMC Jammu by the doctors concerned.
Taking serious note of the matter, Director Health Services Jammu and the District Administration ordered probe to the matter. It was pointed out that two Gynecologists have been posted at Nowshera Hospital and four in District Hospital Rajpouri and despite this, the doctors referred the rape victim to Govt Medical College Hospital, Jammu.
Dr Pathania asked CMO Rajouri to hold inquiry and submit report fixing responsibility on the doctors concerned. CMO Rajouri Dr Rajeev Sharma confirmed and said that he has been asked to conduct inquiry into the matter.
