JAMMU, Sept 27: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee in its meeting here, today held under the leadership of its president, Roshan Lal Raina expressed grave concern over the failure of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in installing street lights in the area which have been since damaged.
The meeting said that despite bringing the matter in the notice of Commissioner JMC several times and even after his instructions, the concerned officers are delaying the replacement of damaged lights with new ones putting the people to problems.
The meeting also sought the attention of Advisor to Governor and Chief Secretary towards the issue and urged them to issue orders to concerned officers to solve the problem without any delay. The Committee general secretary, Bihari Lal, Bushan Lal, M L Pandita, Chaman Lal Zutshi, Badri Nath and Nana Ji Razdan attended the meeting.
