Instead of nomination, reserve 2 Assembly seats for KPs: AIMCCC

JAMMU, Aug 20: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) held a meeting here, today which was presided over by its Chairman, B K Raina.
While speaking in the meeting, AIMCCC president, Desh Rattan said that instead of nominating two Kashmiri Pandits the Government should reserve the two seats for community on which elections should be held instead of nomination by ruling party. “We have already rejected nomination of two seats which can not give any justice to the community which is a useless and futile exercise., If Government is interested of making KPs politically empowered, then two seats must be reserved for them where from only community members can contest”.
AIMCCC Chairman B K Raina and general secretary, J L Raina appealed people to unite and decide to whom the community can support in the ensuing Assembly elections, as all political parties have ignored the community till date. Those who spoke included Priya Dhar, Ramesh Tikoo, R K Koul, Rajender Tikoo, Veena Dhar, Sagar Koul, Vinoo Misri and others.
