JAMMU, Dec 22: Various institutions celebrated Christmas with religious fervour and gaiety, here today.
Pre-Christmas programme was organized by Union Church Udhampur for Jail inmates of District Jail Udhampur under the supervision of Hilal Ahmed Rather, Superintendent District Jail Udhampur. All the Jail staff, CRPF personnel and Jail inmates enthusiastically participated in the programme. The colourful cultural program was presented by the Church Team. At the end sweets were distributed among Jail inmates, Jail Staff and CRPF Staff.
Star Kids Section of Tiny Tots Hr Secondary School Roopnagar celebrated
Christmas – cum -Red Day with enthusiasm and zeal. Various group activities and competitions were held in Class Nursery, LKG and UKG. Young toddlers dressed in Santa Claus and red attires looked wonderful. In group activity, children were involved in drawing, painting and decorating green and white Christmas trees. To mark Red Day,competition was held and prizes were given away to the children with maximum number of accessories in red.
The winners included Agam Singh Manhas, Vikrant Singh and Vanshika Angral (Nursery);
Ronak Raina, Avikshit Gupta and Syed Afia Bukhari (LKG) and Kavya Gupta , Nikhil Arora and Redhima Kotwal (UKG).
The students and staff of Alexander Memorial School celebrated Christmas function in the School premises with zeal and enthusiasm today.
The whole campus was decorated with buntings, X-Mass Tree, Symbolic Star and Santa Clauses.
Rev Udai Singh, Priest-in-charge of St Paul’s Church Jammu, Johnny Williams, SM Gill, Victor and Dolly among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
Principal Esther Williams received the guests and delivered the welcome address.
Christmas was celebrated at New Light Hr Secondary School Patoli Mangotrian, here today. Ved Parkash Kerni, chairman of the School was the chief guest on the occasion. Sweets were distributed among all during the function.
Christmas day celebration started at St Xavier Convent Pre-Primary School, Barnai today. The students dressed up as Santa Clause welcome the chief guest.
Speeches on Christmas Day were delivered by Rhythm, Aaniya and Saanchi of UKG.
Chief guest, Pankaj Vihans, Principal of the School lauded the performances of the students in various activities held during the function.
