JAMMU, Mar 28: Department of Law registered eight wicket victory over Department of Hindi and sailed into the next round of Cricket in the on going Inter Department Annual Sports Meet at University of Jammu ground, here.
Batting first, after winning the toss, Department of Hindi scored 136 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Vicky was top scorer with 29 runs while Sourav contributed 21 runs.
From Department of Law, Azhar bagged three wickets while Amit Baloria took two wickets.
In the second inning, Department of Law chased the target easily for the loss of two wickets in just 12.2 overs. Lokesh was top scorer who made some crispy shots in his 75 runs while Amit and Azhar also chipped in 27 and 32 respectively.
From Department of Hindi side, Mushtaq and Rahul claimed one wicket each.

The Business School (TBS) thrashed Law School by 2-0. Arunoday Singh beat Akashdeep Gupta while Amit Pal Singh outplayed Varundev Singh.
TABLE TENNIS:
Department Law beat Environment Sciences by 2-0.
Abhinav Sharma beat Pankaj Sharma by 11 – 06, 11- 07 while Waheed Ahmed thrashed Arun Kumar by 11-04, 11-04.
BADMINTON:
Kathua Campus got walkover Physics and Electronics while SHTM got walkovers Department of Psychology.
CHESS:
MCA Department beat Kathua Campus.
Abhinav Khajuria trounced Naresh Kukar while Ruhal Gupta beat Gautam.
Liabrary Sciences routed Department of Geography 2-0.
Manhas defeated Vineet Sachdeva while Sudhir Kumar beat NA Quazi.
The matches were officiated by Rakesh Verma, Vishal Sharma, Ganga, Irshad, Chandu Kiran and Arun Kumar.
